Setup
A smooth, solid wall (brick or concrete) with clear space; stand 2–3 m away. Mark a line at net height (1.55 m) with tape if allowed.
Step by step
- Hit forehand drives at the wall above the line, letting the shuttle rebound.
- Then backhand only, then alternate forehand/backhand.
- Keep the racket up in front between hits.
- Count consecutive hits.
Success criteria
20 consecutive hits above the line.
Common mistakes
- Big swings (too slow)
- Hitting downward into the floor
Easier version
Use a sponge ball or let the shuttle bounce on the floor first; stand closer.
Advanced version
Stand closer for speed, or alternate drive/block heights.
Progression
20 in a row → stand 30 cm closer or alternate sides every hit.
Safety
- Use only walls without windows, pictures or fragile surfaces nearby.
- Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual breathlessness.
