Setup
Two players in the rear courts on opposite sides.
Step by step
- Rally using only clears, aiming beyond the doubles long service line.
- Return to a rear-court base after each shot (or full base for more footwork).
- Count clears that land deep.
Success criteria
10+ consecutive deep clears.
Common mistakes
- Clears dropping into midcourt
- Not turning side-on
Easier version
Shorter court (from the midcourt); any clear over the net counts.
Advanced version
Return to centre base after every clear; add attacking clears.
Progression
10 deep in a row → straight and cross-court clears.
Safety
- Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual breathlessness.
