ShuttleScience privacy notice
What ShuttleScience stores today, where it is stored, and what happens when you choose to share or leave the app.
Accounts and online sync
ShuttleScience does not currently offer sign-up, player accounts, coach or academy accounts, or cloud sync. Information you enter in the app is kept in your browser on the device you are using. It is not sent to a ShuttleScience account or training-data server. This means it will not follow you to another device, and clearing this site's browser data or using private browsing can remove it.
Information stored in your browser
Your local app data can include your player profile (such as name, playing level, goals, usual training schedule, equipment and weight field), saved workouts, workout history, progress entries, favourites, plans, active sessions and match scores. The tournament manager stores tournament names, player names, entries, draws, schedules and results locally as well. Gear comparison selections last for the browser session. A local gear-click record stores the product, retailer, country and date for up to 500 recent clicks. These records are used by app features on this device; they are not transmitted to ShuttleScience.
These records remain in browser storage until you delete them, reset the relevant app feature or clear browser/site storage. You can export and restore player/workout backups from Profile & settings; tournament backups and score/result exports are created when you request them. Exported files are saved or shared using your browser or device, outside ShuttleScience's control. Tournament lists or result exports may contain names you entered, so share them only with people who should receive them.
Sharing and external links
When you choose a Share, export, print or copy action, the app prepares the specific link or information shown in that action. For example, a gear share link contains the product or comparison selection, and a match result share contains that result. The app does not upload your full profile or training history for these actions. If you follow a retailer, affiliate, support or other external link, that service receives the visit and may use its own cookies and tracking under its own privacy terms. ShuttleScience may earn a commission from qualifying gear purchases; this does not affect recommendations.
Videos and hosting
Technique videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed and load when you press play. YouTube's privacy terms apply to playback. The hosting or content-delivery provider serving this website may process basic request information to deliver and protect the site; its own privacy notice describes that processing.
Advertising
Advertising is currently disabled on this site. If advertising is enabled later, this notice and any required consent choices will be updated before it is used.
Support services
If you choose to visit Buy Me a Coffee or Ko-fi, those are separate services with their own privacy terms. ShuttleScience does not receive your payment details through those links.
Children and health information
The site includes badminton material for young players, but it does not currently provide child accounts or collect player information through a ShuttleScience account. Parents or guardians should supervise a child's use of the app and any sharing of tournament files. Profile details are not medical records; ShuttleScience provides general fitness and badminton information, not medical advice.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the site's data practices change. The current version and update date are shown on this page.
