Setup
Two players at the net, each just behind their short service line.
Step by step
- Rally using only net shots, keeping the shuttle low over the tape.
- Take the shuttle as high as possible.
- Play straight, then cross, then free choice.
Success criteria
15-shot rally with shuttles landing before the short service line.
Common mistakes
- Shuttles rising high over the net
- Racket dropping between shots
Easier version
Kneel near the net, or allow catching and re-tossing.
Advanced version
Tumbling and spinning net shots; allow kills on loose shots.
Progression
Allow a kill on any shot that rises above the tape.
Safety
- Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual breathlessness.
